Something NEW: Healthy Snack

Hummus:
Hummus is high in iron and vitamin C. The chickpeas make it a good source of protein and dietary fiber. Depending on the recipe hummus carries varying amounts of monosaturated fat.  Hummus is useful in vegetarian and vegan diets, and like other combinations of grains and peas,  when eaten with bread it provides most essential amino acids that humans need.

The chickpeas and lemon? no problem THERE. The sesame paste--tahini? fairly high in calories, because it's oil-heavy. Most recipes also add additional oil, but if it's olive oil? not so much of a problem. The garlic? very good for you, and most hummus recipes call for quite a bit of it.

This is will be something new for me , I googled the taste and its said to have a nutty taste which shouldn't be that bad since I love peanut butter.

If you are a fan of Hummus, what are your thoughts? Do you love it? Store bought or homemade? What do you pair it with?
